Welcome to your German 101 blog!
Please feel free to use this space to post fun stuff you find as well as your blog entries for class. It's up to you to make this what you want from it, so have fun with it. Information related to blogger is available on the UNC Web site - I will invite you all to the blog using your UNC email address.
You'll notice that everything is in German - this will be a theme throughout the semester in German 101. It's just like every other blog though, so I'm sure you'll figure it out. :) Once you have figured out the login process, post a comment to this entry so I know you're good to go.

A note about typing special characters. For the ß and all the umlaut characters, you have two options. First, you can type the assignment out in Word and use the Word shortcuts for the umlauts and ß.
ß - Ctrl+Shift+& then click s
ä, ö, ü - Ctrl+Shift+: then click the letter to which you want to add the umlaut
From there, copy and paste the text into the text box for the blog.
Temporarily, the other option is to type two "s" for the ß. For the umlauts, type the following characters:
ä - ae
ö - oe
ü - ue
