German Language Profile

The author gives German 3 stars for difficulty, compared to 2 for Spanish and English and 4 for Russian. French gets 3 stars too but he thinks German is slightly more difficult "because of the difficult vocabulary, three word genders, case system and rigid syntax."

I guess most of us weren't kidding when we said in class, "Deutsch ist schwierig."

By the way: Does anyone know how to enable RSS feed on this thing? I check this site compulsively everyday to be disappointed each time :) It'd be nice to be informed every time someone posts here.
